After speaking with different nomads and looking at their blogs it is clear that the nomadic lifestyle is not for everyone. With freedom from location comes great uncertainty. Not only do plans change but being immersed into different cultures every few months requires nomads to take risks and embrace spontaneity to avoid becoming overwhelmed with their constantly changing environments.
After interviewing author, Rita Golden Gelman, earlier in the year, she forwarded me a copy of her tips on how to ‘break down your inhibitions and rewire your life’. These tips may seem trivial at first glance but you soon realize that by incorporating these small changes into your life, you become more comfortable with the disruptions to your daily routine that come with a nomadic lifestyle.

“You have to take risks, and when you jump off that cliff, the magic of life happens. From then on, it’s not about existing anymore, it’s living, You are here, and now, and completely awake and sharp.”
